Exploring The Night Life From Liverpool Hotels.
You won’t experience such a varied nightlife as the UK has, anywhere else in the world, as it encompasses everything from seeing up and coming bands in Sheffield to experiencing the old world glamour of Liverpool hotels.
The night life of both Manchester and London are very similar, which is especially appealing to the younger set. Thankfully, Manchester hotels seem to be sited in the midst of where it’s all happening in this vibrant city. One of the more popular parts of the city is the northern quarter, Manchester’s equivalent to London’s Shoreditch or Paris’ Marais; an eclectic, cool and underground area where the arty types and media bods unite. The bar Apotheca, which is designed to be like an old style apothecary, is a popular meeting place for the media types in Manchester, with its stylish interior and fashionable clientele. Cloud 23, a very stylish and modern bar on the 23rd floor of the Beetham Tower, is just the place to mingle with all the celebrities of Manchester’s fashion and art scene.
The Alma de Cuba is rated as Liverpool’s most spectacular bar and it’s easy to see why. Originally a church, the St Peter’s Catholic Church, it still retains most of its beautiful artifacts from the marble altar to the 300 year old stained glass windows. A top tip is to arrive by 11pm, as just after, a mass of rose petals are scattered from the balconies onto the revellers below. No visit to Liverpool is complete without a trip to the world-famous Cavern Club which helped launch the Beatles careers. Although somewhat tacky with sticky floors and dirty toilets, this place certainly has a reputation and is very popular with camera-wielding Japanese tourists.
The music scene in Sheffield is really taking off again with many local bands and DJs performing every night. The Leadmill is Sheffield’s longest running independent music venue and hosts big name local acts such as Snow Patrol, Pulp and Coldplay, so check who’s appearing during your stay at Sheffield hotels. Plus, they often feature up and coming bands so you might even see the next Oasis or Blur before they’re famous.
